Connect with FileZilla or WinSCP — several logins per site, each locked to one folder

⚠️ Use the server's IP, not a domain proxied through Cloudflare — Cloudflare does not forward FTP, so a proxied hostname will never connect.

Open the site → FTP tab → “New FTP account”.

Choose a username (a–z 0–9 . _ -, 3–32 chars). A password is pre-generated — copy it before you submit.

Pick the folder: public (recommended — web files only) or the whole site.

Create it and enter the details in FileZilla. The first connection asks you to trust the server certificate — accept it.

Each account is locked inside its folder and cannot see other sites.
It is not a system user and has no shell access — safe to hand to a web designer.
Change the password or delete the account from the list on the same tab.

An administrator must click “Set up the FTP service” once if it has never been enabled here.
Make sure the client is in Passive mode with explicit TLS — not SFTP, which is a different thing (see SSH / SFTP).
